3 Underrated brunch spots in Brussels without long queues for large groups

March 2024

There is nothing shameful or indeed quite enjoyable to start your day slightly later than normal with copious quantities of caffeine and good food. However, sometimes it could be a major headache (compounding any existing handover from the night before) to find a place with tables as wide as their selection of food, but we at Comenstay are ready to come to your rescue. Regardless if you are here with a group of vegetarian friends for a bachelor weekend; on a school trip with hungry teenagers, or a rather formal group of business colleagues on a company retreat, here are 3 underrated brunch spots in Brussels perfect for large groups like yours.

LA FABBRICA

La Fabbrica is located in Tour&Taxi, a hipsterish area converted from ex-colonial industrial complexes and warehouses. It offers an exceptional all-you-can-eat brunch experience ideal for large groups with even larger stomachs. The food selection includes various cold cuts, salads, fresh fruits, pancakes, fresh pastries, and even seafood.  The venue boasts a charming ambiance with a mix of urban and historical elements, creating a welcoming atmosphere both indoors and on the sheltered terrace. Priced at around 40 euros, with drinks included the brunch is a fantastic value. La Fabbrica also offers free face painting and creative workshops for kids, making it an even more ideal option for parents and families.

CREME

Sometimes the best appetizer for a delicious brunch is to go flea-market hopping and antique shopping. Situated in the heart of the upscale boutique districts of Sablon, CREME is a relative newcomer in the Brussels Brunch scene with an Australian twist. While the floor space is not as enormous as La Fabbrica, CREME made up for it with its cozy decor and Instagramamble combination of fresh flowers, neon lights, and bamboo chairs. Between your acai bowls and the quintessentially Australian avocado toasts, you might even spot a Belgian celebrity or two gently strolling down the cobble street on the other side of the wall-to-ceiling windows.
